Who Is John Freeman, Anyway?

I'm a comics and features writer who has worked in comics and magazine publishing in the UK for over 20 years. Until October 2008 I was Managing Editor of ROK Comics, which enables comics creators to create or adapt their strips for mobile phones, which can be delivered worldwide through WAP subscription and single downloads -- potentially reaching a much bigger audience than that for web-based comics. I'm now part of a small online and print venture, and comics are still part of the daily mix of my life!

I've written strips for various companies such as Marvel, Fleetway, Lucky Bag and commercial companies seeking to use comics as a promotional device. I've also edited various magazines including the official Babylon 5, Doctor Who, Star Trek and Star Wars Magazines.

Hi John

We have been talking about making a Scream tribute for ages but it never really took off. Still the ultimate goal but the material never..materialised. I think ROK would be the perfect platform for anything Back from the Depths produces.

I'll encourage anyone on this site to ceate their stories in a ROK friendly format. If we do get some decent content can BFTD get its own ROK channel, that would be uber cool.
