Yeah, I saw that new version of the Shining too. The less said about that, the better! I'm always a bit anxious when I hear they're making a movie of one of his books these days... for every Shawshank Redemption, there's a Maximum Overdrive... :-)

Salem's Lot used to terrify me! When I was a kid they showed that one over two nights as well. I've got the full version now, and although in some places its dated badly, there's still something really creepy about it. There's a new version out, dun…

Check out The Mist, directed by Frank Darabont. It was one of my favourite Stephen King short stories, and when I heard Darabont was on board, I couldn't wait to see it. It doesn't disapppoint. Couple of other favourites from the old King days are…

My favourites are Haunted and the follow on Ghosts of Sleath...they are great. The film made to Haunted is creepy but did the book no justice at all.
At the moment i am reading alot of Peter James Roy Grace novels, they are wonderful stories, i know Peter and his older book have been great too. If you ever get a chance to read Faith you will love it :)

That was a weird one...i remember first time i went to the states and saw the storm drains.....clowns still give me the creeps. brrrrrrr:(
I used to read alot of his books but tried to read the girl who loved tom gordon, could not get on with it and just occasionally read his after that, buy all the dvd's though Langoliers, storm of the century, the stand etc...love them. My fav has always been James Herbert but unfortunately he has slowed down on the writing and not many films :(

Hi
I know, it is bad when they decide to chop things around to fit on tv, video and dvd. They should just show the full length, very scary vampire. :)
Are you a big King fan??
