I was in a mad rush to get Field of Screams finished towards the end. I think you can tell the bits I hurriedly scribbled down compared to the stuff I took my time over. I had great difficulty keeping it as short as it was, which isn't very. Runs to 16 pages! Had loads of ideas and even more in-jokes and references that I would have liked to have got in there but it would probably have taken up a whole issue in itself and taken me 'til next Hallowe'en.

Looks good mate, cant say i really noticed until you pointed it out.

When we gonna launch a new one then?

"Field of Screams" was great fun reading. I laughed out loud at some of the scenes.

You could always have a sequel having readers and us as part of the story? Yeah, I reckon we should make a second issue! Has there been any much blogging about the tribute comic?

I found a post at David Hailwood's blog.

Matt Soffe, (artist on Bucket of Blood), has posted about it on his blog and I think Dave Evans, (Bolt-01), has too. That's all I've seen but I've posted links to it all over the place so I'm sure a lot of people will be aware of it.

I think a second issue is inevitable. I already know what I'll be doing for it.

David Hailwood's blog mentions my name like I'm someone famous. Fricking cool.

There's a 2nd Mostly Haunted story as well as a number of other stories that I have been working on.

Let's do a new issue every month ;)

As far as web comics go, this is one of the best I've seen (that's why I wish it was in print). I'd be more than happy to contribute again! I have a few more short monster morality tales up my sleeve, very similar to Glubbleblugg...if you want 'em!

How about if we do a new issue every six months? That woud mean the new issue would be out in time for Jun 30th - May 1st, (otherwise known as Walpurgisnacht / May Day / Beltane), then issue 3 would be out next Hallowe'en.

hey, i would like that. i could maybe make a follow up to the dracula story i did...or something completely different. or maybe i can draw something that someone else writes?

well 6 months is plenty of time to come up with something good. that way we'll have quality instead of quantity. :-)

greets,
rattan

ps: glubbleblugg was amazing!

Hmmm...This first issue was started sometime before May 2005.
It has taken over 4 1/2 years to get it done.
It's very exciting that it's finally done & it's a great Comic...but,
I think next Halloween is more realistic.
Better to have a quality issue again, rather than a shorter rushed out comic.
One every year ???
You know...sequels are often better than the original !!!

i have to agree with milne....not about the sequels often being better, :-P
but about the quality and the once a year...

Yep, but things only really started coming together after the submission guidelines were posted in April. I do take your point though. There was a gap of three years between the Misty Hallowe'en specials through lack of material, and with our comic a lot of the work had already been put in and some of the other submissions originally appeared elsewhere. I've certainly not got any problem with issue 2 appearing next October. It'll give me a chance to get my breath back.

I know that things really got moving much more this year with the Comic on this new look site.
I'm glad it did...the previous forum had died away.

Im sure it would have been another few years until it was finished,
...if it weren't for all your hard work M.I.K. !!!
You deserve a well earned breather.
Sit back & Enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Must admit...i stayed up all night waiting to see the finished article while you were uploading it !!!
I would love to see another issue next Hallowe'en.
Exciting to have been involved.
Great stuff !!!
